Sales Policy and Information
Quality & Pricing:
Every rabbit breeder is different and has different ideas about what they believe is a fair and reasonable price for their animals. I price my rabbits according to my evaluation of their quality and value. The prices listed on my website are non-negotiable. Note that prices are subject to change as bunnies mature. I cannot guarantee any rabbit's future performance on the show table or as breeding stock. I do guarantee that in the case of showable rabbits, they will be free of all known disqualifications at the time of sale. Senior (over 6 months old) show/breeding stock that have GC legs or are proven herd bucks or brood does may be priced higher/lower than expected, depending on their quality and the age of the animal. These rabbits are sold with their pedigrees and any ARBA legs or GC certificates they have earned. Pet quality rabbits do not possess the qualities that I believe would make them suitable as show or breeding stock and will not come with a pedigree or any other paperwork. Retired show/brood animals may also become available as pets to loving homes. Prices and policy are subject to change at my discretion. Payment:
Rabbits must be paid for in full before you may take them home, and any deposits must be received before I will consider your bunny on hold. I require cash transactions. PayPal is accepted for deposits only, but any PayPal transaction will be charged an additional $2 convenience fee. This fee is not applied towards your purchase price. When you pick up your rabbit, the balance (remainder of the price of the rabbit, less the deposit) is due. This must be paid in cash. |
What's Included:
- All rabbits are sold with a one week's supply of Purina Fibre3 rabbit feed - Show/breeding rabbits will be sold with their three generation pedigree. Health Guarantee:
Here at Morning Star Rabbitry we guarantee that to the best of our knowledge, the rabbits we sell are in good health and ready for new homes at the time of purchase. We cannot guarantee the long term health of any rabbit, but each rabbit we sell does come with a limited, three day health guarantee subject to the following conditions: If a bunny becomes sick or dies within 3 days of going home, you may receive a full refund of the purchase price or apply the purchase amount towards exchange of a like value rabbit as soon as one becomes available. In order to receive a refund/credit, the illness/cause of death must be due to a pre-existing illness or condition that was present at the time that the rabbit left our rabbitry. The rabbit must be returned to me to qualify for a refund/credit, and I must have received notice of its death within the 72 hours after it left my care. Any evidence of improper diet, heat stroke, failure to follow feeding instructions, physical accidents, injury caused by other animals, exposure to an ill rabbit(s), neglect and/or abuse will render this warranty VOID. We will not be held responsible for any prior or future veterinary expenses. All veterinary expenses incurred are the sole responsibility of the purchaser. Your Responsibility:
It is the buyer's responsibility to fully inspect their bunny, prior to purchase, to ensure that it is the gender and quality expected and desired. |
Pending Sales and Holds:
- A $50 nonrefundable deposit is required to hold a rabbit until pick up.
- No rabbit will be held longer than 7 days from the time I receive your deposit unless I have made other arrangements.
- I will wait a maximum of 24 hours from hearing of your intent to purchase to receive the deposit for that rabbit.

General Policies:
- Morning Star Rabbitry will not sell rabbits under the age of 8 weeks old. No exceptions.
- No sales will be made to anyone under the age of 18 without a parent or guardian present at the time of sale. We support and encourage youth breeders and owners, but want to ensure that parents are aware of the exchange.
- As we are working with live animals, I reserve the right to refuse a sale at any time, for any reason. If I cancel a sale, any deposits received will be refunded.
Disclaimer:
I do my best to honestly evaluate the overall type and quality of each rabbit I sell, and price the animal accordingly. However, I cannot make any guarantees as to their development and/or eventual show/breeding performance, and I may make mistakes in my evaluation. I will not be held responsible for any rabbit not developing as expected or hoped for.
I do guarantee that at the time of sale, rabbits sold as "showable" animals will be in good health and free of any known DQ's (disqualifications). It is the buyer's responsibility to fully inspect show/brood animals prior to purchase to ensure that they are the gender and quality expected.
Life Time Return Policy:
When buying from Morning Star Rabbitry, you gain our lifetime support and advice. We love our rabbits and are happy to answer any questions that you may have.
Also, while we hope that our rabbits are leaving to go to wonderful, long-term homes, we understand that sometimes circumstances change. If you find that you can no longer provide the care that your rabbit needs, please contact us. We welcome back any rabbit we have sold, at any time, free of charge. (Depending on our current space limitations, we may ask you to provide the rabbit's housing in order to properly accommodate its needs.)
